I had lunch with Bri today. I hadn't seen her in over six months and we'd both gone on international travels in that time. Luckily mine didn't involve destroying a rental car in a river like hers did.

I'm enjoying IR so much that I am thinking about converting my D5100 once I get my D800. It would have significant benefits over the D70 I'm using, such as live view for focusing using deeper IR filters, and higher megapixels. Also thinking about doing a full spectrum conversion to get the most possible light for B&W.
Chris and I went out and walked many miles around SF today. My pedometer showed over 16k.

Tien and I wandered again through golden gate park, this time having a good talk about some similar experience we'd had in life. We came across this group if kids partying on the lawn and it was a relevant illustration to the conversation. It was such a beautiful day in the park, nice to see everybody out enjoying it.

After three years I managed to find identical hardware and firmware versions as my backup drive that got fried before my first trip to Asia. I transplanted the controller card and it spun right up allowing me to see all my lost data. So so happy!
